Legendary pop punk band Bowling For Soup recently released their latest album Pop Drunk Snot Bread! There have been singles released for a few years, but now fans can finally get their hands on the whole album. In case you missed it, here are some thoughts on the album!

The anticipation for this album had been building for a long time, so we were pumped to get our hands on the album. The singles had been pretty good, so we were curious what the overall album was going to be like.
The album kicks off with “Greatest Of All Time” which gets you hype and moving. It is a very solid pop punk and Bowling For Soup song. This was a good way to start the album, and grab listeners attention. I’m going to touch on a couple other songs, while trying to mostly avoid the singles as everyone has heard those.
“Hello Anxiety”, is such a good song. It dials in to a very relatable topic while keeping the song pretty light, and extremely catchy. This song is so great to sing with while you’re nodding along to the lyrics.
A few songs down, while it is a single I do want to talk about this one, “Alexa Bliss”, is a ton of fun and I did not realize it was going to actually go on the album. As a wrestling fan, I appreciate the song and its pretty freaking sweet to have your favorite band make a song about you, so I’m sure it meant a lot to her. Now back to the other songs.
“Wouldn’t Change A Thing”, is such a great reflective song. I love the heart of this song, and looking back on everything they’ve done and where they are now. I might be wrong, but I feel like when writing that song it had to be kind of powerful to look back over your career and everything that you have accomplished. Here’s to hearing a new version in another 19 years.
We’ve briefly touched on some great parts of the album, but I do have to touch on some lower points for me. I feel like the pee break and PSA, while funny, kind of disrupted the flow for me and are instantly skipped when they come up. I enjoy the first “Greatest Band Of All Time”, but the last 2 closing the album seem less necessary. I was excited to hear the hidden song, but was a little disappointed that it was an instrumental but that’s just cause I love their lyrics and was hoping to hear more. I think “After All These Beers” feels like such an amazing album closer that it should have been the last song on the album. Overall, what do I think of the album though?
I really like the Pop Drunk Snot Bread. It feels like a great Bowling For Soup album. There are so many songs on here that are so catchy and will be in constant rotation for me. If you love Bowling For Soup and pop punk (maybe a little wrestling) I think it is definitely worth picking up. Bowling For Soup is still kicking out stellar albums and bringing the world some pop punk classics.
