Thai singer/songwriter, Wadfah, is making her mark with her unique blend of pop music. She has an interesting mix of alternative and dreampop stylings that has been entrancing listeners. BareBones Ent got the chance to sit down with Wadfah to discuss her music, creating music vs live music, and much more. Check out what all Wadfah had to say below.

BBE: How would you best describe your music to new listeners?
Wadfah: A collage pop music that comes with the combination of sad deadly lyrics along with heart racing music. A mix of alternative pop and indie pop/rock and a dreamy-heavy sound with elements of synth and guitar being the main instruments.
BBE: What do you think it is about your music that helps you to stand out?
Wadfah: I think it is the style of my music that is a mix of alternative pop and dreampop. Because of that, The music came out quite dreamy and heavy and also the contrast between depressing lyrics and delightful uplifting music.
BBE: If you could only play 1 song to a stranger on the street to introduce them to Wadfah. What would it be and why that song?
Wadfah: I would play “If I Die” because this song describes me best. This song is simple, catchy and could be easily related to.

BBE: You’ve released a few songs this year. How have fans reacted to those?
Wadfah: They were quite surprised that I developed my sound to have different arrangements from previous songs and music that is more modern.
BBE: I like how in your videos you mix in drawing with the video. What made you want to go that route with recent videos?
Wadfah: All my previous music videos have always been mixed media. So I want to keep that as Wadfah’s identity. Moreover, I feel like this technique can portray the feeling in my music very well.
BBE: What part of music do you enjoy more the performing live or creating of new music?
Wadfah: I love both live music gives me positive energy but if I have to choose, creating music makes me feel excited to discover myself and be creative with something new.
BBE: We’ll touch on both. How does your typical writing process go?
Wadfah: I usually write things from my experiences and it can be fast and slow to get the song done. If I get emotional I can write it down on guitar in one hour. I also sometimes write it over the music that my producer has created.
BBE: Now on the live front. What is a usual Wadfah show like?
Wadfah: People usually come up to me after shows and say that my show really gives off a teenage vibe or youth power. They say it is a pretty fresh feeling to experience.
BBE: If someone is coming out to their first show of yours. What advice would you give them?
Wadfah: Just have fun and enjoy the moment.
BBE: What is the best way for fans to connect with you?
Wadfah: I love when fans interact with my live performance and we have a small talk afterwards. It was pretty lovely.
BBE: Anything else you would like to add?
Wadfah: Thank you so much for this interview and thanks to the fans that always support me. Hope to share my further creation with you guys. xxx
