BareBones Ent: Bryan Swann and Amanda Palmer
How did we meet?
We met online, and it was one of the rare occurrences where there was sparks flying, fireworks, and a magical ending. We met August 2013 and made our relationship official September 27, 2013.
How long have we been together?
We have been together for over a year.
Our favorite things about each other?
Amanda: My favorite thing about him is that he has the best heart in the whole world. I love how his heart fits perfectly with mine, and is my missing puzzle piece. I love how sweet and caring he is, and how he takes care of me. How he is always there for me. I know I have found my soul mate, best friend, and happily ever after. He makes my life better than a fairytale, or dream come true.
Bryan: It’s got to be that booty! I kid.. She is the kindest, most caring, and strongest person that I know. She stepped right in without hesitation and cared so deeply for my kids, business, and myself. She gives me the extra motivation to keep pushing and to never give up. She is my rock. Plus she deals with my wild shenanigans and constant horrible accents! (I love them so!)
What is your craziest and/or most fun memory together?
Our craziest memory would be soon after one of her first eye surgeries and she went to a big festival with me to help with my interviews. At South By So What?!, there were so many people and it was difficult to make it through crowds to go see sets and get to my interviews. Plus we got rained out in this horrible monsoon like storm haha! Literally kids getting blown across the field, quite entertaining I must say!
What is our song?
We have two! First is a song we had made by our friend Max Bemis of Say Anything and Perma called, “Here For”, and our song from the beginning of our relationship is “How Far This Can Go” by Bowling For Soup.
Hope and Bryan
How did you meet?
I was 14 and walking home in my neighborhood and Brian drove by and pointed at me and said “you”re going to be mine” I remember thinking what an ass and forgot about it. Shortly after that I saw him again at the basketball court and we have been together ever since.
How long have you been together?
This August we will have been together for 15 years. 10 of those we were dating and 5 we have been married.
What is your favorite thing about each other?
Hope: My absolute favorite thing about my husband is his confidence. That man is 100% sure of who he is and what he stands for. He is always the same person around everyone and never scared to speak his mind when it matters most.
Brian: My favorite thing about her is her smile because when I sees it it makes me want to smile.
What is your craziest and/or most fun memory together?
Most couples have separate bachelor & bachelorette parties and we fully intended on that but about an hour or two into our separate events we ended up merging the parties together. It eneded up being a party the whole neighborhood talked about. The party was bigger than our wedding, lol. It got crazy wild but details will not be shared as to save others that attended, lol.

Tiffanie and Michael
How did you meet?
We met on black friday in 2013 at walmart because that is where we both used to work & we were paired up to work the same line that day.
How long have you been together?
We’ve almost been together a whole year, March 17 is our anniversary!
What is your favorite thing about each other?
Tiffanie: how much he constantly shows his love & support for me, & he cares about my well being & happiness above all else. I never ever have to doubt it.
Michael: I love her smile, her eyes, and her personality. I love that she is so caring. I love that she knows how to make me the happiest man in the world. I love how she can change a bad situation into a good one in any way. I love that she supports me in anything and everything I do. I love that she can always keep a smile on my face. I love that she knows that she means the world to me, so there is never any drama.
What is your craziest and/or most fun memory together?
We took a vacation to Austin & San Antonio for a week about 2 months after we started dating. It was so fun & it was a great way to really jump in to our relationship & get to know one another. Neither of us had ever had a little vacation with just our significant other before so it was a really awesome experience for us both. Sightseeing, road tripping, non-stop talks, & just falling in love… Can’t beat that!

Micah and Paul
How did you Meet?
We met June 14, 2014 at a bootcamp in Fort Hood.
How long have you been together?
We have been together for almost 6 months!
What is your favorite thing about each other?
Micah: My favorite thing about him is that he’s really loving, but not romantic haha.
Paul: My favorite thing about her is that she is sweet and loving. She has a kind heart for me.
What is your craziest and/or most fun memory together?
Our most fun memory is when we went mudding and started to throw mud on each other.

How did you Meet?
We met through mutual friends.
How long have you been together?
We will be going on 7 years, March!
What is your favorite thing about each other?
Sara: My favorite thing about Steven is his crazy ass humor/personality and the genuine goodness about him as a whole.
Steven: I love how she makes me laugh, and how she try’s her best to take care of me and the kids. Most of all I love ho she is full of love no matter how stupid I act and how often I try to jump out and scare her. She always makes me feel loved even when the kids wear her down.
What is your craziest and/or most fun memory together?
We’ve had a lot of crazy… Our first trip out west together-Cali, Grand Canyon–before kids. That was pretty memorable and crazy. Felt like the beginning or start of everything we’d take on together in life, If that makes any sense. haha

I honestly don’t know if we have a “song” in general lol maybe the drug in me is you.. By FIR. he’s dedicated that song to me haha not sure if that’s good or not though!
Lakin and Alex
How did you Meet?
Met by mutual friends on Facebook.
How long have you been together?
We have been together for 7 months!
What is your favorite thing about each other?
Lakin: We barely argue! He actually loves me for all of my good and flaws.
Alex: Everything! Her eyes, the food she makes, and how we are alike and get along together.
What is your craziest and/or most fun memory together?
When we went to Nashville, TN for New Years Eve Bash on Broadway. There were 130, 000 people there and we saw Lady Antebellum and it was our first trip together. We had a blast!

How did you Meet?
We met in 7th grade.

We met at a Homecoming Game in Venus!
How long have you been together?
We’ve been together for 9 years!
What is your favorite thing about each other?
Dorothy: My favorite thing about Chris is his eyes and how he makes me smile even when I’m mad at him.
Chris: My favorite thing about her is how she cuddles next to me at night, I love that.
What is your craziest and/or most fun memory together?
When Chris and the boys were dancing around the living room to the “Hot Dog Song” from Mickey Mouse Clubhouse to make Carter laugh, it was hilarious.

Amanda and Garrett
How did you Meet?
His parents are best friends with my aunt and uncle, and we had never actually met before. One day I was with my aunt at their other best friends house swimming in the pool and all of a sudden Garrett comes walking into the backyard with his dad. It was honestly love at first sight, and luckily neither one of us were in relationships at the time. I knew I wanted to get to know him better and then a month later we were a couple.
How long have you been together?
We have been together for 1 year and 8 months.
What is your favorite thing about each other?
Amanda: His sense of humor. We both laugh at the same stupid things, and he is the best friend I never had.
Garrett: How she makes it so ‘effin easy to love her.
What is your craziest and/or most fun memory together?
Probably when we got to go on a weekend vacation with friends to go float the river in New Braunsfel and had a blast floating the river. We were drinking, having a good time with friends, and didn’t have a care in the world for a few days. We just got to completely enjoy ourselves and had a blast.

Allye and Cody
How did you Meet?
We met at a Powderpuff Football game when I tore my ACL and Meniscus. He helped me walk until we met up with my cousin.
How long have you been together?
We’ve been together for almost 4 years in March.
What is your favorite thing about each other?
Allye: My favorite thing about him is his funny personality and how he always tries to put everyone in a better mood, especially by referring to Dory from Finding Nemo and the Just Keep Swimming.
Cody: She is an amazing mother to my son, and how loving she is towards me. She has stuck by my side through everything that we have gone through.
What is your craziest and/or most fun memory together?
When we walked down our driveway to investigate what seemed to be a cat and as soon as we shined a light on it a skunk came running straight towards us. I was holding our puppy trying to run inside and he peed while I was holding him! But we made it inside without getting sprayed by the skunk!

Ashley and Chris
How did you Meet?
I was best friends with his sister, so that’s how we met. At Homecoming he asked me to dance, and got my number. We have been together ever since.
How long have you been together?
We have been together for a year and 6 months.
What is your favorite thing about each other?
Ashley: My favorite thing about him is he is one of the most understanding guys I have ever met, no matter what the situation is.
Chris: No matter how much she puts herself down she always get through the situation, so her strength.
What is your craziest and/or most fun memory together?
Our craziest memory would be when I brought home head lice last summer and we tried all these crazy at home remedies to get rid of it. This included olive oil on our heads with our heads wrapped in plastic wrap.

Ron and Ngoc
How did you Meet?
I worked with Ngoc’s brother at a bar, which led to us hanging out as friends first. One “fateful” night a very tipsy Ngoc was told by my boss that I was wearing a pearl snap shirt, and that she should rip it open. Funny thing was the shirt was NOT a pearl snap, but was actually just a button up. She offered to buy me a new shirt, I suggested dinner instead. That is how I scored our first date.
How long have you been together?
We just celebrated our 6 year anniversary!
What is your favorite thing about each other?
Ngoc: One of my favorite things about Ron (besides his majestic beard) is how incredibly loving and caring he is. He is the definition of a true gentleman. Always putting me first in all aspects and is extremely selfless. He is the best partner I could ever ask for in this crazy adventure we call life!
Ron: My favorite thing about Ngoc is a hard question to answer because there are so many things, but one would have to be her extremely contagious laugh and smile. I can be having the worst day whether it be work or a bad beard day, but just seeing her smile makes the dark clouds disappear and the sun shine through. If laughter is the best medicine than I am in the best health of my life!
What is your craziest and/or most fun memory together?
Traveling to Denver for Riot Fest a few years ago, and got to see Brand New for the first time. They are our favorite band by far, and was an amazing experience for us both to share together.

Brooke and Dani
How did you Meet?
Dani and I met working at Sprouts. I was so nervous about my first week as a cashier and overwhelmed with how much information I had to learn and remember so fast. It seemed like every day I would find another way to embarrass myself in front of my co-workers. After each incident Dani would always call the phone by my register and playfully tease me about what had happened. It took me a week to figure out who it was that was calling me. Lol. After a few weeks of pranks and teasing, we finally started hanging out after work and she later became my best friend and love of my life.
How long have you been together?
Two years without a day apart! 🙂
What is your favorite thing about each other?
Brooke: My favorite thing about Dani is that she’s my best friend. She’s such a big kid at heart and she never fails to make me laugh. We can both just be as goofy and silly as we want to with each other and there’s never any judgement. She’s always there for me and I just cherish each and every day that I spend by her side.
Dani: What I love most about Brooke is her huge heart. I’ve never met any one more kind and considerate of other people. I have always had a hard time letting people in. But it was so easy with her. She inspires me to be a better person and I know we’re our best selves with each other.
What is your craziest and/or most fun memory together?
Our most fun memory was attending Suburbia Music Festival last year. It was always Dani’s dream to see Tegan and Sara preform live, and they put on such a great show! We got lucky enough to get right up to the stage for most of the bands. It was just such an amazing experience and it was also the first day that I had realized I was in love with her. 🙂

Abbey and Shawn
How did you Meet?
Shawn and I met back in 2009. I was actually dating a friend of his at the time. The first time we met there was that instant connection, but neither of us acted on it. For the next few years we ran into each other occasionally, but then I started working at the daycare his nephew went to. It took me a couple months before I realized who his nephew was. After a few weeks I messaged Shawn and everything was history from there.
How long have you been together?
We started dating September 4 2013 and got engaged July 4 2014. We just married on January 24, 2015.
What is your favorite thing about each other?
Abbey: I love that no matter how rough the waters get Shawn has never left. He is always by my side and he is a spectacular father to our 2 1/2 year old.
Shawn: I love how understanding and forgiving Abbey is. She’s been through a lot in her life time and she always continues to come out on top, but most of all I love her because she saved my life. She pulled me out when I was drowning and ever since then I’ve been living my life like it has a purpose, because it does!
What is your craziest and/or most fun memory together?
We’ve had many over the top crazy moments, but my favorite crazy and most fun had to be our wedding. We had everything we could of dreamed and more. Dancing together for the first time never gave us so much meaning to our song as the day of our wedding.
