Idobi Radio Summer School Tour 2026 Review

Each summer Idobi Radio takes out a group of bands on the Summer School Tour. We love coming out and working the show each year. For the junior year of the tour they brought out Chase Petra, Winona Fighter, South Arcade, Games We Play, and Honey Revenge. We rolled up to the Dallas House Of Blues a little after doors, ready to experience the 2026 Idobi Radio Summer School Tour!

1st Period

Moonstone. (Insta)

The first band to hit the stage was local favorites, Moonstone. The crowd was ready to go as they immediately matched the band’s energy. Moonstone. played a very high energy show bouncing all over the stage and coming down to the barricade multiple times to interact with the crowd. This was such a great band to open up this tour as they really got the audience pumped and ready for the entire show.

Another thing that I really enjoyed was how much fun the band was having not only through their set but throughout the whole show. Multiple times through the night I was with a group helping singer Gracie up as she crowd surfed supporting the other bands. That was something that really stood out to me to see the love shown to the other bands playing.

2nd Period

Chase Petra (Chase Petra)

The next band to come to the stage was Chase Petra. I was not familiar with Chase Petra coming into the show. For only performing as a two-piece they had the full band feel at the show. I thought they sounded good and fit in with the line-up. I don’t think they were as high energy as the other bands, but I think they were enjoyable for the crowd. I think I would like to see what their performance is like at another show to get a feel for what the band is like to me.

3rd Period

Winona Fighter (Winona Fighter)

There was a longer delay for the next band to hit the stage, but when they came out it was such beautiful chaos. They had the highest energy of the night and were all over the place. It was so fun to watch singer, Coco, running, throwing her body around, and interacting with the rest of the band on stage.

They did inform the crowd that they had some technical issues that caused the delay so they were having to do a shortened set and would not be able to talk as much as they normally would like to. What we got was high octane song after song.

I had a blast watching them and the crowd going crazy, so I can only imagine what a full set is like. Personally, I cannot wait to get another chance to see them live.

South Arcade (South Arcade)

South Arcade was another band that I hadn’t heard too much from before, but they came out with a really fun energy. They played to the crowd very well and the crowd loved them. There were a lot of circle pits and moshing throughout their whole set. They provided a nice mix of some nu metal stylings with pop punk vocals.

I think a positive thing that you can take from any performance is the day after the show I looked them up on Spotify to, I could hear their catalog and get more acquainted with them. I definitely recommend checking out South Arcade and seeing what you think.

Games We Play (Insta)

Games We Play is a band I have wanted to see for years now but hadn’t had a chance to. They put on a great show and was a lot of fun. They mentioned they hadn’t toured for a while, so these were some first shows back. There were some cool set pieces that made out for an interesting stage. Song wise, there was a good mixture of their new songs off of the upcoming album and older songs that the crowd were dying to hear. I really enjoyed their interactions with the crowd between and sometimes during songs. The banter can be fun and make each show feel more personal.

Something else that was really cool was they called out to the crowd for someone to come to the stage and help them with a song. A young girl was then brought up to help on keyboard. It was cool seeing how excited she was to be up there. You know that had to be a special moment for her and a lasting memory thanks to Games We Play. I can’t wait for the drop of their next album and the next time they come through my area.

Honey Revenge (Insta)

I saw Honey Revenge on the first Summer School Tour and it’s sick seeing them headline the tour now! You can go back to my interviews from that tour and see The Home Team call out Honey Revenge as a band that will be going far, feel free to go check.

You back? Seeing them headlining this show the energy felt so different. This could just be my POV from the crowd and a fan, but they feel so much more confident and have developed such a fun stage show and presence. Obviously being an opener versus headliner plays into that some too but trust me you can feel they have tapped into that special sauce! They sound great like they always have.

Devin is such a powerhouse of a vocalist. She consistently sounds great all while dancing all over the stage and even down in the crowd. While her counterpart Donny, is an amazing guitarist. Aside from their playing, is the largest smile on their face while performing. How much fun they have on stage is so infectious and adds to the performance so much for me.

They also brought up 2 kids from the crowd to sing with them, and the 2 girls looked like they were having the time of their lives. There were so many crowd surfers (a tally was kept on stage), mosh pits, and circle pits throughout their whole show. Honey Revenge has quickly became a must see band, and I can’t wait for them to come back through town!

School’s Out

Overall, I had a great time at the 2026 Idobi Radio Summer School Tour! The flow between the bands was great, and everyone put on a good show. The crowd was moving all night and were consistently hype! This is such a phenomenal lineup for this year’s tour. I can’t wait to see what they bring out for the senior year! If you get a chance definitely head out and catch a stop on the Idobi Radio Summer School Tour. If they aren’t coming your way, make sure you catch any of these bands when they come through your area!

Final Grade: A
