Hoodie Allen Releases Wouldn’t That Be Nice

Welcome back Hoodie! Hoodie Allen is back with his first new song in over a year and with a brand-new sound! Hoodie is tackling alt pop-rock with single, “Wouldn’t That Be Nice”. How does the new song and sound fare though?

You may know Hoodie from his constant hits as a rapper, but this is an all-new sound from Hoodie and we are digging it. We have been listening to the song for a little bit now, and think this will be a interesting album. The song is very catchy and easy to sing-a-long to, which is always a plus, while being relatable for people too.

“Wouldn’t That Be Nice”, swims in the emotions following and dealing with heartbreak, which we have all been there before and know those waters well. The song does a great job of flowing with the waves and mimicking the highs and lows of relationships. (Side note: I have no clue why I am doing a water analogy but here we are.) Let’s just go talk about the video.

The music video for the song is very intricate in typical Hoodie fashion. The video is the first in telling the story that is going on throughout the album. I don’t want to spoil any part of the video, but I will say it is interesting and leaves me curious for what is to come. (Video at the end)

Ultimately, I think you should definitely check out, “Wouldn’t That Be Nice”, and the new direction that Hoodie Allen is going in. I think this song is a great way to get people excited about the upcoming album and what to expect out of Hoodie. Check it out below and let us know what you think on socials!
