BBE: You have an awesome fun and catchy sound. How would you best describe your music to new listeners?

BB: Thank you so much! When I describe my music to new listeners, I call it a funky pop/rock! The thing that I love most about music is that it has no rules. As long as I can dance and vibe to it, I’m happy!

BBE: You come from a background in dance. Do you feel that has an impact on the type of music that you make?

BB: My background in dance DEFINITELY has an impact on the type of music I make. I’m super drawn to music that feels good to move to, even if it’s not a high energy ‘dance’ song.

BBE: Does it feel different or was it a transition to get used to singing and performing on stage compared to dancing?

BB: I’ve always loved being on stage. As much as I love dance, the first time I sang and played guitar on stage felt so right. At that moment I knew what I was meant to do. I’m so excited to be able to combine my passion for music with my love for dance.

BBE: Now dance isn’t the only thing you have experience in. You also have a history in yodeling, and teaching yourself new instruments. Could we see a yodel sneak into a future song? What else do you have your eye on conquering?

BB: YES! I love to yodel and it’s actually what got me booked in the show that got me to where I am today. I love incorporating it subtly into my music, just like- “Is it true, that I wanna be with yoUuUuU.” I think it’d be fun to write a song in the future centered around yodeling. Currently, I’m working on playing guitar, bass, and now a little bit of drums. Maybe I’ll learn keys next…

BBE: You released a song, “Flavor Of The Month”. What was the writing process like for you with the song?

BB: “Flavor of the Month” came to me in the shower. I was there, singing random things, and then BAM—this melody hit me. It sparked this idea and I needed to get the guitar in my hand as long as possible. When I brought the idea to co-writer and producer, Tony Bruno, it sparked into this high energy, feel good, and kinda rebellious funky pop song.

BBE: What do you think it is about the song that makes it stand out?

BB: “Flavor Of The Month” is a breath of fresh air, embracing the messiness of life. Many mainstream songs are polished and “picture-perfect.” This song dives headfirst into the awkward chaos of figuring out who you are. It has that absolutely delicious, quirky self-awareness. The “flavor of the month” is actually a person finally realizing they’re stuck in their own toxic loop, but can’t help but stay for the tea. It’s raw, rebellious, and completely unfiltered, setting itself apart from the shiny, “perfect” tracks out there. It may be a little messy, but that’s the beauty of it.

BBE: What was it like filming the music video for “Flavor Of The Month”? What stood out to me and I loved was how much fun it looked like you were having.

BB: “Flavor Of The Month” was my first ever music video! We had a general plan, but for the majority of it, we filmed as we came up with ideas. I brought a giant suitcase full of outfits and was having such a blast experimenting with different looks.

BBE: 2 big questions: we see you fall a few times in the video in the silver boots. How hard were the boots to perform in or was it just for the video?

BB: These boots are probably my favorite piece in my wardrobe. Although they’re a size 9, and I wear a size 6.5, I don’t let that stop me (clearly). I fell so many times, both on and off camera. Every time I fell, everyone asked if I was okay, laughed, and then helped me up.

BBE: How many Ice cream cones melted in your hand filming these scenes?

BB: Surprisingly, the ice cream cones that were pictured are the only ones I used! We waited until the very last second to scoop the ice cream. I dropped the chocolate cone onto my dress at the end. At least it fell after we got the shot!

BBE: Is this song a separate single or is it going to be part of a larger release?

BB: As of right now, this song is a separate single, but that could always change in the future.

BBE: What is next for you?

BB: At the moment, I’m cooking up a bunch of new songs in the studio! Around a month after “Flavor Of The Month”, I released my second single ‘Canon Of Events.’ In the next week or so, I’ll be uploading my next single (YAY), so definitely stay tuned for that!

BBE: What is the best way for fans to connect with you and keep up with what you have going on?

BB: Definitely on my instagram! @bellebongiorno

I love posting daily to my instagram stories whether it’s music, dance, art, or even just random content. I will always post updates and future performances there!

BBE: Anything else you would like to add?

BB: Thank you so much for having me! This was fun! I have one more thing to add: DON’T BE AFRAID TO BE WEIRD! Be weird and unique and unapologetically yourself. People will love you as you are! XOXO!
