Blacklist Union is a hard rock band out of LA. The band has been keeping themselves busy with the release of their album Back To Momo earlier this year. Take a look at what Blacklist Union had to say when they sat down with BareBones Ent!
BS: For people that may not know, how would you best describe Blacklist Union?
BLU: Street rock. Rock. Rock N Roll that delivers.
BS: What bands have influenced the music you make and why?
BLU: Mother Love Bone is my biggest influence personally as far as vocals. I was influenced by a lot of Punk Rock, especially The Ramones.
BS: What is something about you that fans might not know?
BLU: I like cartoon movies.
BS: You recently added a new guitarist to the band. What do you feel this brings to the band?
BLU: I am a 2 guitar guy. I always loved Aerosmith, GnR, and The Stones and what the 2 guitars add to the overall sound.
BS: You released a popular video for “Evil Eye”. What does it feel like to see such a reaction to the video?
BLU: My son did an amazing job and the video was very emotional. It goes to show the more authentic that you are, the more people relate.
BS: What was the filming of the video like for you?
BLU: It was very emotional and forward moving. My mother is not a good person, and it was nice leaving all that behind.
BS: Were you planning to release more videos from Back to Momo?
BLU: Yes there is a video for “Superjaded” that will be coming up very soon.
BS: How did that album come together?
BLU: Todd & I wanted to create a kickass Rock record that leaves people touched, moved, and inspired.
BS: Are we going to see a vinyl edition of this record?
BLU: Yes we are in that process now.
BS: What are you currently working on?
BLU: I have been working on myself mostly and becoming a better person, father, and singer. I strive every day to be better than I was yesterday.
BS: When can fans expect to see you in their city next?
BLU: We always have shows coming up so the best way is to check our website and social media for all the up to date info.
